Yvonne was invited in 1981 to teach drawing & painting at the Universidade do Federao in Rio de Janeiro. During that year, she also did a post-graduate course in paper conservation. It proved to be a formative and productive time as an artist, evolving into a solo exhibition of drawings & paintings, including an INSTALLATION entitled ‘Diary of an Artist’. 25 oils were condensed into one piece, 6m high x 12m. This was exhibited at the National Museum of Fine Art in Rio de Janeiro and in 1983 at the Cape Town Festival Exhibition, Nico Malan Opera House, South Africa. These paintings have been available for Auction at Rosebery’s in London, but can be viewed or purchased as individual works.
